Vulcanite Ore Mod 1.12.2/1.11.2 adds a new ore found in the depths of the nether, right below the lava lakes level. The ore can be mined only with a Diamond Pickaxe (or any other tool that has the Diamond Pickaxe mining level). The properties of the Tools and Armor are like Iron, but a little bit better, with some special properties. Crafting recipes are always the same.

Features:

Armor:

Every Armor Piece reduces the damage from hot sources (Lava, Fire, Magma Block).
More armor points you get from the armor piece, more protection you’ll get against hot sources.
A full set reduces by 75% the damage from hot sources.
The armor points given by a full set of Vulcanite Armor is 13.

Tools and Weapons:

The Sword deals 15% more damage to fire immune mobs per level of Fire Aspect.
Tools are 100% more efficencient when in the nether.
Tools and Sword have about 3.5x the durability of Iron Tools (859).
The Axe has the same Attack Speed of an Iron Axe (0.9) but with 1 less Damage (8).
Tools are 50% faster than a Iron Tools and can mine like Diamond ones so a Pickaxe can mine Obsidian.

Flint and Vulcanite:

Right clicking with it on a mob, will set him on fire for 4 seconds (Creepers will still be ignited).
Has about 3.5x more durability than Flint and Steel.
The Vulcanite Block will set mobs standing on it on fire for 4 Seconds.

How to install:

Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge.
Locate the minecraft application folder.
- On windows open Run from the start menu, type %appdata% and click Run.
- On mac open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar. Open the folder Application Support and look for Minecraft.
Place the mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods folder.
When you launch Minecraft and click the mods button you should now see the mod is installed.
